It involves using advanced imaging and diagnostic technologies to evaluate fetal development, detect congenital abnormalities, monitor growth, and assess risks. Our Fetal Medicine and Screening Services Include:

1. First Trimester Screening

This screening is performed between 11 and 14 weeks of pregnancy. It includes a nuchal translucency (NT) scan and maternal blood tests to assess the risk of chromosomal abnormalities like Down syndrome, Edwards syndrome, and Patau syndrome.

2. Second Trimester Anomaly Scan (Level II Scan)

Conducted around 18–22 weeks of pregnancy, this detailed ultrasound checks for structural abnormalities in the baby’s brain, spine, heart, kidneys, and other organs.

3. Targeted Genetic Testing

We offer Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT), a highly accurate blood test that screens for genetic conditions using fetal DNA in the mother’s blood. It is safe and effective as early as 10 weeks into pregnancy.

4. Fetal Echocardiography

This specialized ultrasound assesses the baby’s heart for congenital defects and is recommended for mothers with diabetes, family history of heart disease, or abnormal findings during routine scans.

5. Doppler Studies

Doppler ultrasound evaluates blood flow in the placenta and umbilical cord to ensure that the baby is receiving enough oxygen and nutrients. It’s particularly useful in high-risk pregnancies or cases of fetal growth restriction.

6. Invasive Diagnostic Testing

When needed, we offer amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling (CVS) under expert guidance to confirm or rule out genetic or chromosomal conditions.
