The Blastocyst Culture and Transfer Process

1. Ovarian Stimulation: The first step in an IVF cycle involves stimulating the ovaries with hormones to produce multiple eggs. This is done under close monitoring to ensure optimal egg production.

2. Egg Retrieval: Once the eggs are mature, they are retrieved in a minor surgical procedure under sedation. The eggs are then fertilized in the lab using sperm from the male partner or donor sperm.

3. Embryo Culture: The fertilized eggs are cultured for several days to allow them to develop into embryos. Blastocyst culture takes the process further, culturing the embryos until they reach the blastocyst stage (Day 5 or Day 6).
